Press Release (2005)

DENTON, TX, May 12, 2005 – MyMail Licenses Internet Access Technology to AT&T

MyMail, Ltd. announced today that it has entered into a license agreement with AT&T Corporation covering its patent that applies to user provisioning for Internet access.

“AT&T is the first licensee of our Internet access technology, which represents significant licensing opportunity for our company,” says Robert Derby, Managing Partner of MyMail. “We have now begun generating revenue from our patent portfolio, and we look forward to additional licenses with Internet service providers (ISPs) providing dial-up Internet access.”

The user provisioning for Internet access technology covered by U.S. Patent No. 6,571,290 generally relates to improvements in dial-up Internet access that allow for easier user configuration and an efficient mechanism for ISPs without nationwide modem banks to manage their users connecting to underlying network service providers (NSPs). This technology facilitated the ability for ISPs to offer nationwide Internet service using third-party modems from NSPs.

MyMail is currently engaged in patent infringement litigation in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division, against major ISPs. Defendants in the suit are America Online, NetZero, Juno, Netbrands, Earthlink, SBC Communications and GTE (a subsidiary of Verizon). MyMail is represented in this litigation by the Dallas law firm McKool Smith, P.C.

MyMail, Ltd. is a Texas Limited Partnership with its principal office in Denton, Texas. MyMail offers increased efficiency and security to Internet Service Providers through its user provisioning technology.
